Capture the World's Beauty - One Journey at a Time

I recently attended a Monsoon Photography Workshop sponsored by Focused Adventures, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Led by the very knowledgeable and approachable instructor Flano, this workshop was a deep dive into the art and science of storm photography. Flano worked tirelessly to get me in position for storm chasing every single day, and while there was one exception where conditions didn’t cooperate, the overall experience was thrilling and productive. His dedication to helping me capture dramatic weather scenes was truly impressive. The facility where we stayed was excellent—comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The food was both plentiful and delicious, which made long days out in the field much more enjoyable. One of the biggest takeaways for me was gaining a stronger understanding of forecasting and storm positioning. Flano’s explanations were clear and insightful, and he answered every question with patience and expertise. I also picked up some new editing techniques that have already improved my post-processing workflow. Flano’s competence and passion for weather photography made this workshop not only educational but also inspiring. If you're looking to sharpen your skills as a weather photographer, this is the workshop for you. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone serious about capturing the power and beauty of storms.
