About Me

Feet in Lake Como a must
Feet in Lake Como a must

My 1st River Cruise was an welcome to a new way of traveling.  First it was 2 nights in Amsterdam pre cruise to see the Floriade which is every 10 years. A city walking tour was next with a short city river cruise. Doing the pre night package with AMA Waterways made the whole thing easy. Everything was taken care of. On to Cologne and the Cathedral and to each the local food like Streusel and Schnitzel.  Cruising the next day and seeing all the Castle's along the way in a slow pace and to sit out side and relax.    Heidelberg with a walking tour of the city with a stop for Hot Chocolate at an outside cafe. Even got to experience going through some locks along the cruise and they were very close. Basel walking tour and on to Lucerne and the bridge. Looks just like the pictures. We ended out trip in Lake Como fo r3 nights, we got to have a cruise on the lake and see George Clooney's house and eat great pasta in Bellagio.

What a great Memory!

Star Princess Cruise
Reviewed By Judy - Dallas, Texas | Traveled to Alaska | USA
The Star Princess was larger than any princess ship we have done, but they managed the flow of people well. They had 4 shows going on at once so it was easy to find entertainment. They had modern electronic at the elevators so it only went to the floor people touch outside the elevator. The bathroom was very large for a cruise ship and it was a pleasure to take a shower. Our ship was sold out and we were worried about having 4,500 people. The food was good, but if you wanted lobster in the main restaurant it cost $24. On the last formal night they did have steak & lobster with out any charge. They also changed the buffet layout to one long line. It was a good experience.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Alaska again
Reviewed By Becky - Spring, TX | Traveled to Alaska | USA
Still cold. They had a brutal winter followed by cold spring. Ship cleanliness and cabin were great but food was mediocre and prizes for trivia were stickers. No priest on board which was a nice perk for us previously. Service on lido buffet was awful. May not choose HAL again unless super deal or something. But saw animals and Alaska as beautiful as ever. Summer and fall are probably better times to go but Alaska offers a lot anytime you go. Still really appreciate the airport transportation as flight back was pretty late and driver was there. Thanks so much for that.

Poland

We had a great time! The tour was great! When we arrived in Warsaw the transport from Trafalgar was not standing where they were supposed to be. It took us a good 20 minutes to find her and her tiny sign. We made it tho. The Premium Economy seats on Lufthansa were nice and more comfortable than regular ones. Maybe one day we can fly business or first class ?? Paul, our Travel Director, was very up beat and did not allow the “negative Nancys” in the group to kill the fun. He surprised the group several times with little goodies throughout the trip. I would have liked to of been able to go to Birkenau also but I know time/the tour did not allow for it. The hotels were nice. Our favorite was the one in Zakopane. The view from our room was awesome! Our hotel in Wroclaw did not seem to be in a safe part of town. There were some very “sketchy” apartment buildings across the street. We did have some flight issues returning home because of weather delays and a medical emergency on board. Next trip, I am going to try to remember to ask that you request handicapped service for mom though. The long and sometimes hurried walks to our connecting flights are taking a toll on her. Overall we had a great trip!! We are looking now for where next year’s trip will be. We are thinking Greece but we are not 100% sure yet.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.

Holland America New England Cruise
Reviewed By Jerry & Lisa - Magnolia, Texas | Traveled to Canada
This was our least favorite cruise. Probably because of the time of year. It would be great to go for fall foliage. Also, with Jerry's limited mobility there were a lot of things off the ship that he just couldn't do. As for the ship itself, probably my favorite. Though getting on the ship was still a hassle, much shorter because we went in the "handicap" line. Our cabin was ready when we boarded (we had always had to wait before). Our baggage was delivered shortly after we got in the cabin. The stewards were like ninjas. We rarely saw them, but they entered our cabin when we were gone and cleaned everything. Jerry asked for ice the first day and every day after they filled the ice bucket without being asked. There was a little confusion over the distilled water for our cpap machines. I had to call for it. Though I had requested it on-line, I had not ordered it (I thought by requesting it was ordered). But it was delivered right away. The food was good and the entertainment was excellent. The hotel in Quebec was perfect. Jerry was a little miffed that our view was of the roof and construction. Didn't matter to me. I don't stay in the room that often. When we disembarked I kept waiting for our transfer information to the airport the next day to come up on the app. When we arrived at the hotel, there was a letter with a $50 taxi voucher to get to the airport. More than enough to cover the trip. The cruise line also had distilled water for our cpap machines waiting in the hotel room. I was impressed. Things were close enough to the hotel that Jerry and I could walk to where we would like to go. One negative about the cruise is a lot of the people dressed very poorly. I'm talking right out of Walmart at 2am. The other negative (because I'm old and Southern) was being addressed by the staff by my first name. I've not experienced that before. Maybe it's just the cruise line or that we were cruising in the north. Thanks for all your help Debbie.

Viking Cruise- Danube
Reviewed By Vito & Melissa - Frederick, Maryland | Traveled to Danube | On the River | At Sea
We really enjoyed our trip, especially extending on our own for a few days in Budapest at the Marriot hotel. The trams are easy to use and are free for over 65. We enjoyed shopping at the Great Market Hall for souvenirs and the views on the Danube (especially at night) are spectacular. The Viking cruise as usual was well-organized and both the crew and the other passengers were very friendly. Vito and I did most of the included tours with local guides, and a few of the optional tours including to Salzburg. The only extra tour that was a bit disappointing was the thermal bath in Budapest because it was very large and a bit crowded, not really relaxing. Thanks for all your help booking our trips We're looking forward to our British Isles cruise next year.
I would recommend this agent to my family and friends.
