She convinced me of the liberating power of solo international travel and then took on the challenge of crafting the perfect getaway: a destination I’d never been to, minimal travel time to maximize my stay, a rich lineup of unique experiences, and of course, great food—all within a reasonable budget. Shannon pulled together three smart destination options: Reykjavik, Montreal, and Dublin. After several calls and emails, I confidently chose Reykjavik, thanks to her thorough recommendations and thoughtful planning. From booking a direct overnight business class flight, to securing early check-in at the beautiful Iceland Parliament Hotel, Shannon handled every detail. She planned an amazing itinerary that balanced structure with spontaneity. My highlights included Troll Expeditions snorkeling in Silfra between tectonic plates in glacier water, relaxing for hours at the iconic Blue Lagoon, and road-tripping to waterfalls (foss), driving the Golden Circle, and Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach (made famous by The Game of Thrones). The food was just as memorable: at TIDES, I had a perfectly prepared charcoal-grilled tenderloin with vitelotte potatoes; at Sümac, the Middle Eastern and North African–inspired dishes were divine—and I even met Chef Thrainn Freyr Vigfusson, who shared his love of Red Rocks Amphitheater where he saw one of his favorite bands, Sigur Ros, back home in Colorado. And yes, even the famous Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur hot dog stand lived up to the hype. Shannon crafted a journey that felt custom-made. Every day brought something new. She delivered the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and culinary discovery, and I can't wait for Shannon to help me plan my next adventure.

From our initial Zoom call with everyone going on this trip, We knew we weren't going to have to worry about anything. Shannon was two steps ahead of us every week leading up to our trip to Thailand, Bali and Gili Air. She gave us wonderful hotels to choose from and we were in five different hotels (not including quick stays at airport hotels) and we loved every one of them.
