The word "boricua" is proudly used to describe someone from Puerto Rico or someone of Puerto Rican descent. With my mom being a native Puerto Rican, this is a word I've heard a lot throughout my life, and it's one I'm incredibly proud to get to use when describing myself!

I’ve visited Puerto Rico a number of times to see family, and each trip deepens my love for the island. From the colorful streets of Old San Juan to the breathtaking beaches of Culebra, Puerto Rico is full of unforgettable beauty. Add to that the warm, vibrant culture and delicious traditional dishes like mofongo and arroz con gandules, and it's easy to see why it's such a special place.
