2020 Marathon Race Weekend at Walt Disney World

I believe we should all have the opportunity to experience new things in life and I love being a part of someone’s bucket list trip, honeymoon or multi-generational story.  My first trip to Walt Disney World was with my family as a young girl in 1995. I can vividly remember how magical it all felt as my eyes and heart experienced every new attraction and character meeting (I still have my original autograph book!).Many guests ask “should I bring my young child to Disney?” and my first-hand experience is YES! You can and you should. As parents of four young children my husband and I loved watching the Disney MAGIC come alive in our children’s eyes the first time they met Cinderella, dancing with Doc McStuffins and of course meeting the real Santa at Disney Springs during the holidays! It’s an experience that parents will always remember, even if your children don’t. 

 I will plan your dream vacation for you and your young family with something magical for everyone including my personal tips for young kids and infants.Living my best adult Disney experience in 2020 I ran the Disney Half Marathon during the annual Marathon Race Weekend (if you ever want to see Cinderella’s castle at 6am, run up Main St. USA to a roar of applause just because you are you!) That’s right, 13.1 MAGICAL miles of character photos, live school bands, a DJ and so much more.  If this is something you would like to do, I would love to share my experience with you.  It can be a great motivator to get training while we plan your perfect vacation around a runDisney event!

Finally; while Disney holds a special place in my heart; my ultimate Orlando experiences include Universal Orlando Resort. From riding ET with my entire family (including my grandmother) when I was a young child to experiencing the same attraction with my children will forever be a core memory for me. Minions; what can I say I have twin minions myself and this will always be the first “big boy” ride my “big boys” were able to experience.  And last, but certainly not least; I am a Harry Potter freak (we have a cat named Bellatrix) – standing in Diagon Alley…. There are no words to describe how perfectly executed this all is; the sights, sounds, smells, movement was captivating and this was all before you set foot on a ride or in one of the various themed shops.
