Hawaii has always held a special place for me. I’ve returned four times to explore the stunning islands of Maui and Oahu.

I have had the pleasure of standing in the quiet reflection of Pearl Harbor, overlooking the USS Arizona, and visiting the Punch Bowl. I have experienced the locals’ vibrant Chinese New Year festivities, both on Oahu and Maui.

I have also experienced four traditional luaus, embracing these celebrations of island culture and hospitality. I snorkeled around Maui, seeing some unique aquatic life--like the green sea turtles and colorful fish. I also visited some pristine beaches. I never go without booking a whale watch. Seeing these gentle giants up close is always a special treat.

I have been Haleakala and saw the sunset, hiked the Iao Needle and trails along the road to Hana, taking in sweeping views of lush forests overlooking the Pacific.

Shannon did a wonderful job. Took care of all the details. She even personally called the place that we were staying to be sure that all of our requests were honored. It was a beautiful place to stay. Very reasonably priced for the time being park season. Everything was easy to do because Shannon had taken care of all of the details.
