About Me

Canine Companions Travel Specialist

The PNW is beautiful!
The PNW is beautiful!

Hello! My name is Carmen and Welcome to RdogsAndUsTravel! After spending years traveling with my own dogs, I decided to create this travel agent business to help encourage leisure, mentally stimulating and physically beneficial activities for an underserved population within every community – our canine companions! Have you ever dreamed of bringing your beloved four-legged friend and best friend on more adventures with the whole family? Or, you have a group of canine friends that would love a good outing and hotel stay (with appropriate doggy etiquette of course). Dog-loving hotels know they love a good bed wrestling when you come in with at least two. Have you wondered where to look for pet friendly hotels or car rentals at discount prices? Or you want to treat your one or 15 dogs to a luxury limousine ride. No matter what, customizing your travel experience with your canine companions is my top priority. I want to ensure you have the best client experience out there, and I am committed to providing top notch services. What is the benefit of using a travel agent?

  • It is FREE for you, and on average, you will receive 10-20% savings on all your bookings. Hotels, flights, and car rentals can all be booked at discounted rates for all your basic or luxury needs!
  • More than 24 years of experience traveling with my own dogs!

First, after you call or submit an online inquiry, I will have an informal phone interview with you to complete your client intake form (on my end). As a former recruiter in the mental health industry, I have developed a keen skill for listening and typing at the same time, as well as asking pertinent questions. I can read my own typos too! Once I complete your client intake form, I will research the most competitive rates in travel through the top five exclusive suppliers that I work with as a benefit of being an independent contractor. I believe in complete transparency with my clients. After I have completed my research for your ideal travel experience, I will give you a call and submit via email my own form comparing your customized rates. From there, you may select your ideal itinerary, and we will discuss the next steps for payment, and requirements plus restrictions. I do not want to give away all my secrets here! Once you make the initial inquiry, I will more than happily discuss all parts of the process! There are benefits to using a travel agent, and it is not just the savings or convenience. With many years of experience traveling with wolfdog and domestic dog packs, I have learned a thing or two about what works and what does not. I can offer a lot of recommendations for places to go, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. I have traveled throughout Washington, Oregon, Northern & Central California, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Montana. I have had many exciting experiences traveling with my canine companions. Our pack currently consists of dog mom and dog dad, along with Bosley, Bugsy, Homer, Tater, Roscoe, Cici, and Jax, all rescued from kill shelters in California.

As a bonus for choosing me, Carmen C., from RdogsAndUsTravel, I have a personal and moral obligation to donate a portion of my earnings through my business. For the total of every booking you make through us (I say us because my dogs are part of all my work, and are my largest reward beyond being able to support them),

  • I will donate 5% of all earnings to the 501c3 dog rescue of your choice as long as they can be paid via PayPal or Venmo, AND, a 5% match to the rescue of my choice.

Please do not hesitate to contact me! I am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Please also remember that your pups must be fully vaccinated, including rabies, have some form of basic obedience training under their belt, and get along swimmingly with other dogs AND ALL humans! In other words, they must be friendly, and when in doubt, please be responsible and use muzzles. It is humane to use a basket-style muzzle, to allow for drinking and panting, and prevent any altercation from happening outside the car or hotel room. Please follow these basic instructions, as my business grows and I obtain your feedback, I will add more information. One of the number one issues I have consistently faced in recent years has been the lack of due diligence on leash laws where you travel. This is one of the number one rules that everyone should follow, so regardless of where you want to go in the 50 U.S. states, please be responsible. Are you ready to travel with your pups? Let us make your dream doggy vacation a reality!
