Planning a day trip to Monterey is a great idea!
1. Start your day early to avoid crowds
Get to Monterey, plan your travel time accordingly. Arrive for Breakfast: Grab a quick breakfast at a local café or bakery. Crema in PG or First Awakenings in Monterey are good options.
Monterey Bay Aquarium: Spend the morning exploring the aquarium. Highlights include the kelp forest, sea otters, jellyfish exhibits, and the Open Sea exhibit.
Head to Fisherman’s Wharf for lunch. There are plenty of seafood restaurants to choose from.
Afternoon shopping. Browse the shops for souvenirs and local goods.
Check out the sea lions lounging on the docks.
Evening Relax and Depart Take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront or relax at a nearby beach, such Lovers Point, before heading back.
