The DR does an amazing job blending laid-back luxury with heartfelt hospitality. If you plan to visit, I highly recommend the VIP service at Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) — it’s worth every penny. They’ll collect your luggage, escort you through a private customs line, and make the whole process smooth and stress-free. (Just a heads up: bring a fan when departing — the airport doesn’t have A/C, and those glass jet bridges can get toasty!)
