Many people reach an age where they realize that the faith convictions that many of us take for granted were handed to us by champions of faith who have gone before us. Exploring the places where these religious developments took place can connect us with our own faith and convictions while deepening our sense of who we are, where we come from, and what kind of legacy we want to leave. As a pastor and scholar, I have organized multiple trips to Europe to explore and teach about church history. I have focused on the Radical Reformation including trips to Zürich, Switzerland where some of the first Anabaptist events took place 500 years ago, the Netherlands where Menno Simons worked and taught, and Münster, Germany where an apocalyptic movement took over the city with tragic outcomes. I have also helped add religious destinations to various other destinations in Europe and the Caribbean. Cathedrals, chapels, and shrines often stand out as the most meaningful parts of any trip.
