COUNTRIES VISITED:Italy
PLACES VISITED:Milan, Rome, Venice
SUGGESTED DURATION:10 Days
This 10-day family adventure through Italy blended iconic sightseeing with laid-back cultural indulgence. The journey began in Milan, where brunch at Biancolatte and a stop at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele set a stylish tone. Venice offered rich flavors -- gnocchi at Trattoria Busa Alla Torre, beach cabanas at DesBains1900, and cocktails overlooking the canals at Hyatt Centric Murano. Shopping and a gondola tour added the perfect Venetian charm. In Rome, guests dined at Clemente alla Maddalena, then dove into history with guided tours of the Vatican and Colosseum. A highlight was the hands-on cooking class at Pizza & Pasta School, where the family discovered the Italian art of letting dough ferment properly; unlike the rush of American kitchens. With seamless vaporetto travel and carefully curated meals, this itinerary felt immersive, delicious, and effortlessly synced to the rhythm of Italy.

Arrival in Venice: Boats, Bites & Beauty
We journeyed from Milan to Venice, and every suitcase-drag across bridges was worth it. Known as the City of Water, Venice immediately charmed us with its winding canals, island-hopping energy, and boat-only transport; no cars, just character. After checking in, we embraced the local flavor with hearty plates of gnocchi and pasta at Trattoria Busa Alla Torre. The day continued with crisp wine, classic cocktails, and of course gelato. Venice welcomed us with open arms and full plates.

Dough, Drama & Delicious Farewell
We kicked off the day like locals with a cappuccino at our cozy corner bar. Then came one of the most entertaining experiences of the trip: a hands-on cooking class at Rome Pizza & Pasta School, where we learned the art of crafting authentic Italian dough (hint: let it ferment!). FINAL THOUGHTS
Slow travel made all the difference. From water taxis to slow-fermented pizza dough, this journey taught us that great things like Italian meals and family memories, are best when given time to rise.
