Hello, my name is Yumiko English, and I am the owner and creator of Timeless Japan. I was born and raised in Sapporo, Hokkaido, where I grew up as a competitive skier surrounded by incredible natural beauty and world-class ski resorts. In my early twenties, I became a professional tour guide, leading travellers through Japan as well as over 40 countries around the world.

After moving to Calgary and raising a family, I continued building my travel expertise through roles as an airline customer service agent and Japanese translator, while also planning countless family adventures. These experiences deepened my knowledge, strengthened my insider connections, and fueled my passion for sharing the very best of Japan with others.
