About Me

Aloha! Hawaii has captured my heart in every possible way. Each Island offering its own unique beauty, culture, and spirit. Whether it’s relaxing on a quiet beach or hiking through rainforests, no two islands are the same — and that’s what makes them all so special.

Oahu – The Heart of Hawaii Known as “The Gathering Place,”-                               Oahu is a vibrant fusion of tradition and modern life. You can surf the legendary waves of the North Shore, hike the ridges above Manoa Valley, and experience the energy of Honolulu’s cityscape. The historic significance of Pearl Harbor, the serenity of Byodo-In Temple, and the local eats at hole-in-the-wall spots across the island all make O?ahu endlessly exciting. Sunrise hikes at Lanikai, sunsets at Waikiki — it’s the pulse of the islands.

Hawaii Island – The Big Island, Vast and Powerful-                                              From snow-capped Mauna Kea to molten lava rivers at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the Big Island is a land of extremes. Here, you can swim with manta rays under the stars in Kona, stand on the black sands of Punaluu Beach, and explore lush valleys near Hilo. The island’s size and diverse ecosystems make every corner a new discovery from coffee farms to waterfalls to sacred heiau (temples). It’s a place where earth is constantly reborn, and you can feel it under your feet.

Maui – The Valley Isle, Where Beauty Meets Adventure-                                          Maui holds a special place in my heart. I’ve driven the breathtaking Road to Hana, explored bamboo forests at Pipiwai Trail, and watched the sunrise above the clouds at Haleakala Crater. Whether it’s snorkeling in the crystal waters off Molokini, whale watching in Lahaina, or relaxing in the calm bays of Wailea, Maui offers a perfect blend of thrill and tranquility. The cultural pride in Upcountry Maui is just as powerful as its crashing waterfalls.

Kauai – The Garden Isle, Lush and Untamed                                                       Kauaii is nature at her most raw and radiant. Hiking the Na Pali Coast Trail can be a spiritual experience.  Kayaking down the Wailua River, explore sea caves along the rugged north shore, and wander the red canyons of Waimea. Kaua?i feels ancient and mystical, a place where the connection between people and land is palpable. It’s a great island to go to when you need to reconnect and reset.

Molokai – The Friendly Isle, Slow and Sacred                                                        It's said that time moves differently on Molokai, and that’s part of its beauty. You can visit the remote Kalaupapa Peninsula, learn about Father Damien’s legacy, and listen to stories passed down through generations. There are no crowds here — just untouched beaches, friendly locals, and the essence of old Hawaii. Moloka?i is deeply rooted in native traditions, and traveling here is about respect, humility, and quiet connection.

Lana'i – The Pineapple Isle, Exclusive and Peaceful                                                 Lana?i is a surprise of serenity and luxury coexisting with rugged landscapes.  You can explore Keahiakawelo (Garden of the Gods), snorkele in Hulopoe Bay, and drive off-road trails through barren, Martian-like terrain. With only one town and limited cell service, Lanai encourages you to unplug and simply be present. It’s a retreat for the soul.

Niihau – The Forbidden Isle (Observed from Afar with Respect)                           Niihau remains privately owned and access is restricted, but you can learn about its unique history and culture through conversations with locals and educational tours. As the most traditional Hawaiian island, its preservation of language, lifestyle, and values is remarkable. Respecting its privacy is part of honoring its sacredness.

Kahoolawe – The Sacred Island (Uninhabited and Revered)                                   Though uninhabited due to its past as a military test site, Kahoolawe holds a powerful place in Hawaiian culture. I've listened to the stories of its restoration efforts and its spiritual significance as a navigation and ceremonial site. You can witness it from Maui’s shores with reverence.

I have occasional business travel to and from Seattle Washington that Mikela books for me . Most recently - Mikela booked my personal travel experience with my granddaughter. Mikela is kind, professional and patient. She was able to find a reasonably priced round trip flight, beautiful luxurious hotel, and rental car. She scheduled our Space needle, Chihuly glass museum tour, Ferris wheel and Seattle Zoo. As well as reservations at different restaurants. Mikela had great recommendations and knows the city of Seattle well. I highly recommend booking your travel with Mikela for a stress free fun travel experience .
