Travel has always been more than just a pastime for me; it's a passion that has been intricately woven into the fabric of my life. My family traveled to many places throughout the US, Canada and Caribbean as I was growing up.  And I was blessed with a career as an event planner and producer, crisscrossing the United States for my job. It was during this time that my love for travel truly blossomed. I began to plan vacations for myself and my husband, exploring many of the captivating destinations I visited for work.

Life took a beautiful turn when I decided to semi-retire to raise my two boys, which afforded me the time to discover the world through family travel. One of the highlights of our adventures was celebrating our 30th anniversary with a memorable trip to England and Scotland. These experiences fueled my passion for travel even further, inspiring me to turn it into a profession.

Driven to deepen my expertise, I enrolled in a year-long course with the Travel Institute. This comprehensive education equipped me with the knowledge and skills to launch my own small business, Empty Nest Vacations. My background in event planning has been a tremendous asset. The meticulous attention to detail, organizational prowess, and creative problem-solving skills that I honed over a decade in the industry seamlessly translated to the world of travel planning.

As empty nesters, my husband and I now have the time and freedom to explore the dream destinations we've always longed to visit, and I understand the unique opportunities and desires that come with this stage of life.
