Whether it’s a spontaneous weekend escape to Atlanta to marvel at the Georgia Aquarium’s mesmerizing whale sharks, or a 24-hour caravan-style journey up the East Coast with three cars, walkie-talkies, and snack-stuffed coolers—I believe road trips are where real travel memories are made.

On our Maine-bound trek, we embraced the 24 hour journey just as much as the destination. From Buc-ee’s pit stops that turned into snack hunts—we took our time and made it fun. With a cozy overnight stay in Virginia gave us a chance to regroup, sleep in comfort, and gear up for the final stretch toward coastal charm and lobster rolls in Maine. 

Traveling by car, especially the State of Maine by car is my kind of bliss. There’s something grounding about chasing harbors and waterfalls with nothing but a paper map backup and with your favorite people. I’ve wandered through fog-kissed harbors where boats sway like lullabies and taken detours down mossy trails just to hear a waterfall roar in the quiet woods. Every bend in the road is a chance to pull over, breathe deep, and snap a photo that never quite captures how good it feels to be there! 

With every GPS reroute and playlist shuffle came laughter, teamwork, and genuine bonding. Road trips weren’t just vacations—they were family summits disguised as scenic drives. We solved problems, cracked jokes, swapped seats, and created memories that bond forever.
