I think my interest in travel was sparked by the variety of places I went during my time served in the Navy. I got to see parts of the world that may never have been visited otherwise.

Early in my Navy career I traveled to several points in the Far East, including Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and a brief stop in the Philippines. In the mid 70s I spent two full years stationed in the Philippines. Due to my post as a Navy Bandsman I got to see the "real" Philippines. It's been 50 years since I was there and I still have friends from there. At the time it truly became like a second home.

Towards the end of my my career I was tasked directly with dealing with the travel logistics surrounding taking a performing group on week-long tours to points in Alaska.

That gave me an appreciation for what it takes to ensure everyone's needs were covered...air travel, ground transportation, meals, lodging...the whole gamut...so now you know a wee bit more of why I hope to make a difference in people's lives by offering a helping hand with booking your travel needs. 

When it came time to go on vacation, both during my time in the Navy as well as later when I had a young family,  I can't begin to say how many times I wished I could have had a travel consultant to call with the kind of service I'm now able to provide.

I spent many hours trying to piece together travel plans that would give me an acceptable balance between cost, value, and convenience within the time and budget constraints I had. I  made my share of mistakes along the way, mostly because I didn’t know a variety of pitfalls. Of course, all of that was pre-internet, so having all of the tools in one place like what we have now wasn't even conceived yet.

In my capacity as a travel consultant I pledge to strive to listen intently to your needs and preferences to narrow things down to the best possible package choices for you. I remember well what it was like trying to navigate my way through booking flights, lodging, meals, transportation, and then making allowances for special needs and considerations as my age advanced.
