About Me

Peggy's Cove Lighthouse on Small-Group Tour, 2023
Peggy's Cove Lighthouse on Small-Group Tour, 2023

My very first cruise was on the Norwegian Sun in Alaska, and it set the hook for me.

I still remember standing on deck as Hubbard Glacier thundered into the sea, flying in a float plane over five different glaciers before landing on a hidden lake for a salmon dinner, and winding through places like Denali, Alyeska, Girdwood, and Anchorage. It wasn’t just a trip — it was a completely different way to see the world.

Since then, every one of my cruises has been with Norwegian. I never set out to “specialize” in one line — it just happened naturally. The Freestyle Cruising style worked for me from day one: no stiff rules, no forced schedules, just the freedom to relax or dive into the action whenever I felt like it. Over the years that loyalty grew. I became a Platinum Latitudes member, earned my Master’s certification from NCL University, and built this agency around the cruise line I already knew inside and out.

Why stick with just one line when there are so many out there? For me it’s simple: I’d rather do one thing really well than spread myself thin. If you want to know how the dining packages actually feel on board, which balcony cabins catch the sunsets, or how to plan around shoulder-season pricing, I can tell you from personal experience. My wife and I are ready to embark on cruises number six and seven — including a return to the Mexican Riviera this fall — and we’re organizing a family reunion group as number eight.

I don’t just book cruises. I live them, and I plan them the way I’d plan my own.

Certain destinations have become my touchstones:

  • Alaska, where it all began for me, and where I’m bringing my extended family in 2027.
  • The Mexican Riviera, a smarter spring break and a mix of sunsets, beaches, and spice.
  • Canada & New England, where sailing in September means crisp air, fiery foliage, and the Manhattan skyline glowing at dusk.
  • Hawaii, which I’m already sketching group plans for around milestone anniversaries.
  • Northern Europe, still on my bucket list, with fjords and midnight sun that I can’t wait to experience.

Some I’ve already lived, some I’m still dreaming about — but that’s the fun of it. I get to share both the memories I’ve made and the plans I’m still making, right alongside my clients.

Before I launched Cruise Made Easy, I spent my career in the tech world building systems and managing products. That background taught me how to think about details, timelines and processes that actually work. Now I put that mindset to use in a different way: instead of delivering software, I’m helping people plan milestone trips that turn into lifelong memories.

This isn’t a side hustle for me. It’s my long-term plan — something I’ll keep doing into retirement, not just to fund travel but to stay connected, curious, and active. And I don’t just disappear after a booking. I’ve built a small community around this passion: the NCL Planning Lounge, where I share updates and tips, and my YouTube channel, where I post walk-throughs and cruise insights. If you like to research, plan, and dream a little before your trip, those are places where you can join me and others who are just as excited about Norwegian as I am.

At the end of the day, I’m not trying to sell you “a cruise.” What I do is help you find the right Norwegian cruise — the ship, the itinerary, the timing — that fits your style and makes the planning simple. Because when you finally step on board, it shouldn’t feel like work. It should feel like the beginning of a story you’ll be telling for years.

TrustPilot Reviews:

When I initially called Scott, I had a short time window in between appointments. He was able to meet same day. He had worked up a proposal to present for my cruise, then we only had to fine tune flights, hotels. On top of that, he was able to save me money, if I had booked through cruiseline would have been much more. Communications have been great compared to the last travel agent I used for a past cruise. He's sent me other excursions for my review that's not offered by cruise line. - Tina D, Feb 2026

Scott responds very quickly and has great follow through! He is very organized and that made me feel comfortable. - Stacey W, Feb 2026

Encore in Puerto Vallarta as We Headed for Home

Living the PVSA

Most cruisers never think about the Passenger Vessel Services Act (PVSA). It’s one of those background laws that dictates how itineraries are built but rarely intrudes on your trip — until it does. When a family health crisis made it clear we’d need to leave Norwegian Encore early, we faced an awful kind of uncertainty. We knew the PV...

What's it Like on a Back to Back?

Back-to-back cruising sounds simple: finish one cruise, stay on for the next. In reality, it’s one of the most unique experiences you can have at sea. Turnaround morning, you don’t stroll ashore like the other disembarking passengers. Instead, you’re corralled with the other B2B guests into the main dining room. There’s no buffet, no loun...

Back-to-Back, Interrupted

Turnaround in Seattle There’s something surreal about a turnaround day on a back-to-back. Most of the ship empties, some stay, and for a few hours you’re in limbo — not quite on vacation, not quite at home. For us, the transition from Alaska to the repositioning sailing south felt like a secret handshake....

Fall Foliage 2023 on Norwegian Escape

Driving to Meet the Ship Why drive two days to New York instead of just flying? Because small planes, hub connections, TSA lines, and tight schedules all sounded worse than two days behind the wheel. Driving was cheaper, too — at booking, about $450 per person to fly, versus $340 in gas. By the time we left, tickets had s...

Norwegian Encore Alaska: Late-Season Lessons

Packing started with what I called Suitcase Jenga — unpack suitcases we'd just throwing stuff into, repacking with half our clothes in each bag so a lost suitcase wouldn’t sink the trip. It wasn’t elegant, but it worked. By 4:45 a.m., we were out the door, ready to fly.  The flight to Seattle was uneventful, which is exac...
