Hi, I'm Carrie Durko, and I have been in the travel industry for over 30 years. I received my degree in Travel & Tourism in 1988 and immediately started working at AAA as a vacation travel agent. I have worked for American Express Travel and also several Corporations as their dedicated in house travel agent. In 2012 I decided it was time to open my own agency. I felt I had enough experience and knowledge to be an asset to others in helping them plan their dream vacations. It has been one of the best decisions I could have made!

Working with Carrie was simply amazing. From start to finish she was nothing but kind, upbeat, and willing to lend her incredible experience to help us have a great trip. A lot of the information she gave us we probably never would’ve been able to find on our own. Not only were we planning our honeymoon I meant planning a wedding, but we were also planning it in the midst of a global pandemic! This presented a whole other slew of hurdles which Carrie helped us navigate all the while being very communicative and upbeat – which was nice for just a few folks who wanted to celebrate an exciting experience which was seemingly always dampened by Covid. Everything did not go according to plan BUT....There is NO OTHER travel agent you could ever want to take care of you and your family. CARRIE is by far the best agent/person doing everything within her power to handle situations that are not expected. I would never go out of this country without having a travel agent book your trip....and would not use anyone but Carrie Durko!
Even though we hit some bumps along the way, we had a wonderful vacation. We are a family of 14 and went to Planet Hollywood in Cancun. This resort has a lot to offer for all ages. The staff at this resort are all very friendly and try to accommodate you. Star Class pool was great and Marco/Pool Butler was wonderful. Food was good, not the best we've had. Carrie has always tried to book us at a resort that is a few years old.....reason....they have worked out many of the glitches. This resort may need more time to work on those glitches.

Punta Cana - Hard Rock Casino and Resort - A Wonde

We took Carrie's recommendation back in April of 2024 to do an All-Inclusive at the Hard Rock Casino and Resort in Punta Cana and were not disappointed! This was the perfect destination and resort for our family of 6. The rooms were spacious, stylish and fantastic. The resort had more than enough swimming pools and amenities. The stores, shops and restaurants were plentiful and there was always something to do.
Carrie not only booked this trip, but also gave us sound advice on our arrival and departure. I also reached out to her a few times during the trip for a little advice on some excursions. She always made herself available to us, which was a really nice touch. We definitely plan to book our next trip with Carrie again!

Carrie provided us with updates and reminders when key dates were approaching and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. She was prompt in answering all of our questions (even on the day we boarded the ship). Because of her knowledge of our cruise, the offered excursions and our cruise line we were able to pick the right stateroom, dinner times and excursions. This made the cruise that much more enjoyable. Carrie's on-board credit gift and "welcome aboard" treats was a wonderful surprise. This was our 1st experience with Carrie and will not be our last. She truly is an exceptional travel agent.

Magical Memories

From beginning to end our experience with Carrie Durko has been exceptional. Carrie worked with us to put together a 10 day trip to Italy that, thanks to Carrie's expertise, turned out to be a magical, memorable experience. It is hard to find words that accurately express the amazement we felt on each tour/excursion that was well orchestrated with drivers, guides, and activities. Carrie was so easy and helpful in planning our summer vacation. We booked in the spring, then had many concerns once the press was reporting on mini-bar deaths in the Dominican. I will tell you, Dreams Dominicus was the most beautiful resort we have visited. The beach was stunning, the staff were so friendly, the bars and restaurants were delicious! I'm so happy we didn't cancel. In fact, we definitely benefited from those that DID cancel. More space, complimentary perks (champagne delivered to our room), invites to special events/dinners, give-away's... It was a fabulous vacation! Carrie took care of everything from the flight, to transportation to/from the resort and recommended excursions. My favorite part is that when I checked in with our Amstar rep for my return transportation time, I didn't feel pressured to purchase additional excursions. Thank you Carrie!! We'll be back!!
