My name is Jan McCarley and I have a love for travel and would like to share my story with you.  Several years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  After the shock of this diagnosis, I realized that my current career as a fitness professional might soon come to an end.  I decided to embark on a second career that would allow me to work from my home, a career as a travel agent.

Let’s back-track; about 7 years prior, I had checked into becoming a travel agent (since I love to travel) but quickly realized that I had no extra time to devote to travel due to my personal training and group fitness class schedules.  Therefore, I put the travel agent idea on the back burner.

Getting back to how I got here…Needless to say, the MS slowed me down and allowed me to revisit the idea of becoming a travel agent.  I did some research and realized I can do both!  I cut my fitness schedule to 2 half days a week, which allowed my body the rest it now requires, plus time to start learning the travel industry.  I took the plunge and became an independent affiliate with Cruises and Tours Unlimited and opened my travel company WithOut Borders Travel and Tours.

I am now blessed with a career I love that I can do from my home, plus I’m able to stay connected in the fitness industry.
