My name is Vinnie Amico and I am the founder of Mickey’s Travel. You know Mickey’s Travel as the Disney travel agency and while Disney is our focus our passion is travel. My father worked for Trans World Airlines (TWA) and we traveled the world. My favorite subjects in school were social studies and history. Every year I picked where our summer vacation would be usually someplace I studied in school.
When I was 11 we went to Greece and during that trip we visited the Parthenon. It was a beautiful summer’s day with bright blue skies and white puffy clouds. While there was ruin and rubble all about a good amount of the temple was still standing. I found a piece of rubble about the size of a tennis ball with some intricate details. I thought it would be a neat souvenir and I put it in my pant pocket.
All of a sudden the skies turned dark gray as the wind picked up knocking the hats off tourists. In the distance you can see the lightning strikes as thunder roared from the heavens. Well I couldn’t get that rock out of my pocket fast enough. I settled for a picture post card of the Parthenon and a 4 inch Greek urn that had “The Acropolis” written on the base.

On the first trip with kids to Disney he provided us with a pamphlet on tips in getting the most out our trip. We had purchased a Birnbaum's guide as we were told us you can't do Disney without it. On the second day we left guide & took the pamphlet with us and it was amazing. There have been times when I've had family & work trips within 12 months & he has found me better pricing by getting an annual pass saving me and my company money. With all the changes over the years he keeps us informed and makes our trips so enjoyable that I always leave the planning to him.
