Discovering the glaciers of Iceland

Some years ago, I spent a full year studying in Germany. I was not all that experienced in travelling at that time, but I was determined to make the most of that opportunity. I managed to explore several countries, and I haven’t stopped discovering new ones since then.

Overall, Europe presents less of a culture shock for a Canadian like me, but everywhere you go, you can feel the weight of its history – from the communist-era subway stations of Moscow to the castles of the Loire Valley in France. Every city or village has a different vibe, a culture that makes it unique, and if you plan things right, festivals that will blow you away.

Outside the big cities, you can often find nice, quiet villages to enjoy life at a slower pace, living like a local, and imagine how it would be to retire in a beautiful home... maybe on the Adriatic Coast.Whether you want to see the canals in Venice or experience the majesty of the falls of Godafoss in Iceland, Europe has it all.
