Romantic European Escapes

Megan has planned multiple trips for me and I know that I’ll have her plan many more. I work a lot and the idea of searching through hotels and flights on the side kept me from using my vacation time for years. In steps Megan who takes the time to understand what you want in a vacation, researches the coolest places to go, and also what you would like most that may be off the beaten path. If you’re wondering if you should go on that vacation, the answer is yes, but do less, and have Megan help! Megan and Molly at Smart & Savvy Travel were amazing to work with. At first I was I was skeptical as to why using a travel agent for personal vacations was necessary, but then I quickly changed to wonder why I hadn’t used them before! They were extremely responsive, professional, knowledgeable and provided destinations within our request but also alternatives that fit our parameters but that we hadn’t considered. Upon arriving in DR we received news that we had a family emergency and needed to return home immediately. She had strongly recommended we get travel insurance (which we never get!) and we did, so she was able to successfully recoup the majority of our trip fees. We are forever grateful for her responsiveness, communication and compassion – she made, what was a tough day for us, a lot easier to manage. Megan helped my son and I plan our first trip to Europe this December. She treated our travel planning as if it were her own and helped us navigating travel during Covid; I realized how prepared we were as I saw other travelers being pulled aside and trying to get all docs in order in airport! During our layover I see an announcement on news that the country we were flying into was going in lockdown. I contacted Megan at the airport moments before we were to board our flight in a little bit of a panic. She assured me she would take care of everything and for us and to trust her. By the time we landed she had updated everything on our electronic itinerary with explicit instructions on our next steps. We ended up having an amazing detour in Brussels which actually ended up being one of our favorite destinations! Megan is detail oriented and an experienced traveler.
