While attending university, I would pass by a travel agency day. The destination posters on the walls and the busy agents on the phone had lured me in. After a lengthy conversation with the owner from South Africa - I was hooked. I enjoyed my time in University with a passion for learning and for travel as a form of education and personal enrichment. I spent several years with Canadian Airlines International, in district sales, customer relations, international sales & marketing, government relations, etc. When CP air ceased to exist I cultivated a niche, which has lead me to this wonderful industry of travel and tourism.
2022 - updates. Lead a group to Jordan and Egypt. Cruised the Nile river on the AMA dahlia. Jordan, overland to Petra, and stay in Amman amazing.
2022 - France - river cruise on the Avalon Tapestry 11, with extension stay to Mont st. Michel, UNESCO Heritage. Extended stay in French countryside, Chantilly. Always great to explore beyond the river and experience true French hospitality and culture.
2022- Next - Germany and Norway.
Community Engagement, International and Domestic
Charity, giving back - one of the Founders of True North Missions Society, medical charity providing needs to the impoverished in Ecuador. Volunteered with CHAS - Children's Hospital Aid Society, oldest charity in Calgary. St. Vincent de Paul society, volunteer for 5 years. Privately - collected over 1000 used soccer jerseys for the catholic diocese in Dar es salaam and 300 for orphanages. Many other local charitable contributions. Education giving back - Patron of tourism and travel class at BOWNESS High School, case study in 'Marketing for Tourism and Hospitality' editions 1 & 2 - Dr. Simon Hudson. University level academic textbooks. Mentored several business and tourism students,etc.
