The Danube, Rhine, Mosel and Douru are all famous European rivers easily navigated on a small luxurious river cruise ship. It's an ideal way to see a snapshot of many countries and cities all famous in their own way. Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg, Strasbourg- any season is perfect to view these famous historical places.

If your interest is castles then Germany along the Rhine is spectacular.  If famous wines are a must then a Bordeaux cruise is the one for you.

The Danube at night is picture perfect with twinkling lights along the river. Buda on one side and Pest on the other with the dramatic Parliament building right alongside. 

Egypt is a wonderful  destination with a cruise down the Nile. Magnificent Pyramids in Cairo, Valley of the Kings in Luxor, with centuries old burial suites of the Pharaohs. The remake of "Death on the Nile movie" has wonderful photography of the Nile.
