Atlantis Paradise Island

The Bahamas is one of my favorite spots to visit on vacation.  I have cruised to this destination aboard Royal Caribbean and stayed at Atlantis Paradise Island on my own personal vacation.   It only takes 3 hours by plane to reach this destination from EWR airport in NJ. 

When cruising with Royal Caribbean I was able to stop at Port Canaveral in Florida and made a day trip to Universal Studios.  I explored the park and had a great day.  Our next stop was in Miami, which I didn't get off the ship, but when we stopped in Nassau we were able to make a full day of swimming with the dolphins and spending time at the beach.  From Nassau we sailed to Coco Cay.  The island is extremely beautiful and we spend our time at Chill beach.  The swim up bar further in on the island was really relaxing.  After we spent some time there we made our way to the water park and had fun on the water slides and the wave pool. 

My time at Atlantis was so much fun as well.  This was a more leisurely vacation where I could roam and spend more time doing the things I wanted to.  I have explored this destination extensively and there are many restaurants available to choose from that would suit your taste.  

The resort has a water park where you can really have fun sliding down the water slides.  They also have many activities and entertainment for all ages. I would recommend this vacation spot for both families and individuals alike.  It is also a great spot for a romantic getaway with your partner as they have a separate section for adults only.  

If you want to get away from the resort there are many activities available to you and any intrepid explorer.  Why not have a local show you around using the People to People program. This is a more immersive experience into the local culture.
