Why work with Fontaine Travel? I'm a world traveler who lived and taught English in Japan and has visited and explored multiple times. I speak some basic Japanese but more importantly, know the culture and the country and can offer opportunities to explore beyond the typical tourist destinations. Due to language issues, the country is best explored with and by someone who knows it well. 

Japan travel can be customized to fit anyone's tastes --- the family that wants to learn Japanese war history, the epicurean who wants to try and taste all the Japanese delicacies from sushi to blowfish - it is a feast for the senses. The active hiker can climb to all the temples and/or trek through Shikoku on a pilgrimage. The artist can visit the museums, learn to make ikebana (flower arranging) or throw clay. The solo traveler can feel safe when traveling by his or herself. The drinker can learn about sake fermentation and beer making in Japan. The macha drinker can learn how it is processed and where it's made. And if you want a traditional stay, we can make arrangements for a ryokan with cotton kimonos and set menus to have a true Japanese experience. Regardless of your interests, we can customize to every traveler and nearly every interest.

You can follow a traditional itinerary from Tokyo, to Kyoto/Nara/Osaka to Hiroshima and you can also visit some of the 2nd cities of Japan including Takamatsu, Kurashiki, Nagano, Hakone, and Nagasaki, Beppu, Fukuoka and visit Hokkaido. The choice is yours. Will you make it?
