I was asked, “Why should I work with you instead of other agents?” My response was, “Because I am Unique.” It started in college – my courses were chosen so I could graduate with a Travel Agent Associate Degree. I have been in the travel industry since 1974 and have ridden the waves of change in destinations and legality. Starting as the” American Girl” at my first agency with a storefront allowed me to meet and greet prospective travelers with my smile and courtesy of listening to the client’s wants and needs. Later, I traveled the world as an employee of one of the largest travel companies ever-TWA GETAWAY VACATIONS-as their Group Desk Specialist. Several times I was requested to meet my groups across the world to attend their farewell dinner and meet them to discuss their next group tour. It was such a pleasure to listen and then follow through with outstanding tailored itineraries for their next group departures. My experience during my world travel is the key to your satisfaction. Over the years I also joined several associations again to keep in touch with vendors, hoteliers, travel companies, and legal matters in the travel world. Associations like – Professional Travel Agents of North America Tri-State Area, where I started as Secretary then Vice-President and then President. Today, I am President of Worldwide Travel Specialist Association where we continue to educate other travel agents some which are new to this industry.
