Virgin Voyages - Cruising A Whole New Way!

Enjoying Bimini and the Scarlet Lady!

Setting sail on Virgin Voyages we noticed some big differences from this cruise line and others, there's no kids onboard! While we love traveling with our kiddos, showing them the world, and experiencing new things, we also love our time away as just adults. And if you're looking for an adults only trip, it doesn't get much better than Virgin Voyages! 

The food, the entertainment, the sailors, the crew, even down to the onboard tattoo shop...it's just a whole new way to voyage! We had a great time checking out their beautiful ship, Scarlet Lady, enjoying the hammock on our sea terrace, relaxing at Virgin's Beach Club at Bimini, their private club and so much more. 

This truly isn't like any other cruise you've been on, sure there weren't kids onboard, but even the food was different. We had the option to dine in The Galley (Virgin's version of a buffet but it's SO not a buffet and is home to truly the best burger at sea!) or one of six restaurants onboard. Everything from Italian, to streak house, to experimental, there really was something for everyone and we never got bored with food. Not to mention ice cream! There was a new flavor every day along with the regulars that everyone knows and loves! 

Our voyage visited Cozumel, Mexico and Bimini. We've visited Cozumel before, but had a great time taking things a little slow since the ship stays in port later and not feeling like we had to rush back. We were able to explore the island, check out some beaches, and then make our way to "The Bar With No Name" for a drink and some nachos to wrap up the day before leisurely heading back to the ship. 

Our next port was Bimini and while this small island has plenty to see and do on it's own, we opted to take the tram from the port to Virgin Voyages Beach Club at Bimini to check it out! Let me tell you, it was simply paradise! White sands, crystal clear pool, and even beach games should you decide to partake. We found some chairs on the beach and spent most of the day relaxing, reading books, and cooling off in the ocean. I'm not sure if gets much better than that! 

And Scarlet Night...wow! You really have to experience for yourself. This mix of theatrical show, dance party, and pool party is a night we won't soon forget! It was one of the highlights of our voyage and we came home telling our friends all about it so they would want to voyage with us next time to experience it as well!

Virgin Voyages really does know how to cruise and we'll definitely be headed back on the lady ships soon!
