Day 8: Visit Valpolicella wine region and tasting
After breakfast at the hotel, depart by mini-bus for an Amarone wine experience in the region of Valpolicella, where the cultivation of vines has a millenary tradition and ancient farmers techniques are supported by modern winemaking technologies. In fact, the "trademark" of this region still today consists of a particular and ancient technique of winemaking. This is the withering method, which involves partial dehydration of the grapes before pressing. The carefully selected bunches are stored in large ventilated rooms for more than 100 days. In this way, sugar and aromatic substances are concentrated, thanks to the natural evaporation of water from the grapes. With this technique, the two iconic wines of the Valpolicella region are produced: Amarone and Recioto. Wine tasting and lunch in a typical restaurant on the hills. Return to the hotel in the afternoon and time available for relaxation and well-being in the structure. Three-course dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
